Live Controls

The Live Controls option in Player allows you to control routers over RS232 or IP, and VTR’s over RS232/422. Routers can be video, audio and RS, and the router commands can be crosspoint or salvo, which gives you the flexibility to control multiple inputs and multiple VTR’s using a minimum number of COM ports.

Software can be set up to control router from single point, using remote router protocol, allowing all systems to communicate over IP rather than having to be directly connected to the router.

Standard router protocols are supported, and if the router is not listed, an interface can be developed in a matter of days.

At a glance software features:

  • Set router points for live events in playlist
  • Set router points in advance or just before live events
  • Set router shortcuts
  • User router position to identify which system is broadcasting live
  • VTR tape control and warnings
  • VTR pre-roll and setup
